Hypnosis:

The fears, myths and mystery surrounding the use of hypnosis are totally undeserved. The state of hypnosis is a totally natural phenomenon. David is totally devoid of mystical or magical powers! No flowing robes or swinging watches, just a reassuring manner to put you at ease and the expertise to help you with your problem.

There is absolutely no question of being controlled or manipulated whilst in a state of hypnosis. It is not possible that you could be made to do anything that you did not want to do, and you would not blurt out any of your secrets. The person under hypnosis may experience senses more, and their memory may well be enhanced.

The state of hypnosis is most pleasant and a particularly relaxing, natural phenomenon during which a person can converse quite easily. It is inconceivable that any harm could befall you.

Certain problems may respond particularly well to Hypnoanalysis. Phobias of all kinds, allergies, nightmares, insomnia, anxiety attacks, nervous tension, anorexia nervosa and bulimia and irritable bowel syndrome, to name but a few.

SUGGESTION THERAPY

Suggestion therapy is used to produce a change in a behaviour pattern, such as smoking, nail biting, pre-examination nerves, relaxation, slimming and confidence boosting. Suggestion therapy only requires between 1 and 3 sessions, with perhaps a booster later on.

ANALYTICAL THERAPY

Analytical therapy is used to discover the original causes of psychological problems, using Hypnoanalysis. This can be summarised briefly as the doctrine of cause and effect: every effect, (your symptom), must have a cause; once this cause is revealed, it is removed, bringing consequent relief of the symptoms.

There is no need for you to put up with something inside of yourself but outside of your control, provided you are prepared to devote time, money, effort and self-discipline to free yourself of your problem. The use of conscious hypnosis can dramatically speed up analysis and results can be achieved in a few weeks.

Whatever your problem, you can be sure that you will receive the best of attention, and that I will totally respect your right to confidentiality, privacy and anonymity.

SUGGESTION THERAPY

For nail biting, slimming, pre-test exam nerves, etc. Usually only 1 to 4 sessions of approximately 50 to 60 minutes each are required. The fee is £65 per session.

Smoking Therapy

Smoking Therapy takes only one session of approximately 2 hours. The individual fee is £175. A backup service is offered. If, within the first month after therapy, you really feel you need a top up session, then a free session is offered. If, within 1 year, you feel you need a top up, a session at half the current fee is offered.

Analytical Therapy

For all other problems. This therapy usually requires between 6 and 12 separate weekly sessions of approximately 50 to 60 minutes each. This is a totally private and individual therapy, and the fee is £65 per session.

Pain Control

Hypnosis may help a person to control their own pain.
Pain control therapy can only be carried out if the cause of the pain has been diagnosed by a doctor. Each session takes approximately 50 to 60 minutes, and the fee is £65 per session.

Making an appointment

David offers an introductory consultation in his Swindon office so that you can get to meet him, and together you can decide whether he is the right person to help you. You can discuss your problems and he will give you a greater explanation of the procedures, before you embark on any therapy. Please telephone, and mention the Free Introductory Consultation (which lasts about 30 minutes).

Practice hours in Swindon are: 1st appointment 9.30am, and last appointment 5.30 pm. Monday to Thursday. Consultations are by appointment only.

Between 8.30 am and 5pm: Monday to Friday, calls will be answered by a receptionist. Evening and weekends messages can be left on an answer machine.

Whilst with a client, David cannot be interrupted, so you may be asked to leave a message with a receptionist or after 5pm on an answer machine. David will return your call as soon as he can.

For some of the therapies offered, an audio CD for back up may be required. Where this is appropriate, the CD will be supplied free.
