We all need an amount of stress in our lives to be able to survive, to be able to do our jobs, and to give us the will and the energy to cope with emergencies. Stress is not only helpful but necessary, it can often be a positive force in your life. When you have a deeper understanding of stress and its effects on you, you will actually find that you can control many of the psychological and the physical effects that it has upon you. This control over yourself will enable you to use stress to work for you, not against you. Stress can and does affect men and women from all walks of life, young and old, rich and poor, no matter what your job, or even if you have no job. Stress and its effects have no respect for your status or position, or lack of it, in life. Although the Stress Management course that David offers is predominantly based on the principle of one to one therapy, courses for groups can be arranged. The aim of the course is to enable you to learn to manage the effects of stress, to cope with stressful situations that may arise in your life, whether they be dramatic crises, or just the everyday act of getting on with working and living life, so that you can enjoy life. Stress Management - IndividualAs a rule 4 sessions are required, but may vary from client to client. The first session may last up to 1½ hours. Subsequent sessions may be from 1 hour up to 1¼ hours. The total cost for four sessions is £350, which may be paid for over the course. Stress Control Therapy - GroupsPrices on application. It is not a sign of weakness to admit that you are suffering from the effects of excessive stress. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for or to seek professional help.
